The Calx Project (TCP) took place at the Alberto Sordi Gallery, a beautiful covered piazza located in the heart of Rome, Italy.
True to the project's goal, music and technology were used to raise awareness on difficulties that children are facing and to encourage all to help in with their donations, time and attention.
During the event, Christian improvised at the piano according to his style for 60 hours and one minute while Zillion Productions took care of the live audio and video broadcast through SKY.FM
This small creative team brought together an international event which was followed by more than 30,000 people and made history as it was awarded a unique Guinness World Records (TM) certificate as the world's 'longest solo music internet broadcast'.
While Christian was playing, teams of volunteers distributed informative fliers to the audience and took time to talk about Plan International and its School-building projects we wanted to support.
Additionally, ads and other visuals were repeatedly used on location and presented live on the video internet broadcast to reach thousands.
As a result, many provided donations but also gave their time by joining the organization's ranks as volunteers.
Thanks to extensive media coverage (web, national radio and first pages on national press) and word of mouth (web 2.0 still wasn't born!) the positive effect of TCP was also felt months after the end of the project as people donated generous sums of money to Plan International, citing TCP as their reason for supporting this NGO.
